CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Union Pacific has released a detailed schedule for “Big Boy” 4014’s upcoming tour set to begin on Thursday. The world’s largest operating steam locomotive is slated to depart its home base in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on Thursday at 8 a.m., bound for Sidney, Nebraska, the first stop on a month-long tour.

The locomotive will steam toward Kansas City before heading south to Texas and then east to New Orleans. The locomotive will then head north to St. Louis and then west to Denver. After a stop in Denver over Labor Day Weekend, the locomotive will return home.
