SEVILLE, Ohio — The Northern Ohio Railway Museum will reopen this weekend for the first time in more than a year. Like many museums, the Ohio museum was closed last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Saturday, July 3, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Trolley rides will be offered throughout the day on Shaker Heights Rapid Transit Car 12 on the museum’s demonstration railroad. Rides are scheduled every hour on the hour starting at 11 a.m. and going until 3 p.m. Tickets, good for the entire day, are sold at the museum store. Masks will be required when riding the trolley itself but not on museum grounds.
Home to the largest collection of preserved trolley and transit vehicles in Ohio, the museum is located at 5515 Buffham Road in Seville, Medina County, Ohio, near Chippewa Lake. It will be open every Saturday through October 9.
