Brightline to Begin Limited Service Week of January 8

Florida’s privately-funded higher-speed passenger rail system is set to debut limited service the week of January 8, according to a post on Brightline’s official Facebook page. Service will begin bewteen West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale, and later extended to Miami once construction is completed. The initial service will be operated by five four-car stainless steel trainsets built by Siemens that feature a Charger locomotive at each end.
