Celebrate the 30th anniversary of RMNE with special trains on September 26 and 27. Saturday’s noon train runs south from Thomaston to Highland Junction in Waterbury. Sunday trains depart Thomaston at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. for Torrington. Trips include a photo run-by with New Haven Alco RS-3 529 in its restored 1950 green and orange scheme, pulling a baggage car and heavyweight coaches. See website for details.
