General Electric will build 200 new locomotives for Canadian National

General Electric announced on December 21 it will be producing 200 new diesels for Canadian National, its largest new locomotive order from a Class 1 railroad since 2014. The locomotives will be produced at the GE facility in Fort Worth, Texas, beginning in 2018. The first units are expected to be delivered in 2018 with the balance delivered in 2019 and 2020.
